KAMAZ has developed a trolleybus with an autonomous travel of up to 20 km.

The trolleybus can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h and cover gradients of up to 12°, it is equipped with a 180 kW AC asynchronous electric motor

The KAMAZ-65825 trolleybus is a part of the electric transport range, but it features a system of continuous power supply. Due to accumulators of energy it can ride autonomously up to 20 km.

According to its creators, it will operate in new urban areas where there is no contact line yet.

The new trolleybus model also allows expanding the route network of urban transport without additional investments in infrastructure.

The trolleybus is equipped with a kneeling system that allows tilting the bus body for convenient boarding and unloading of passengers. A mechanical ramp is installed on the middle door for physically challenged passengers.

The saloon is equipped with driver's communication button, passenger information system, video surveillance cameras and satellite navigation system, climate control system, USB-sockets for telephone charging.

Total passenger capacity is 85 people, including 34 seats.

Recharging of batteries is carried out during driving from contact network for 30 minutes up to 100% capacity.

Currently, 62825 is undergoing certification tests; at the end of June it will be handed over to GUE Gorelectrotrans for trial operation.
