A new honey processing facility opened in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan a new honey processing facility and a borteiskiy apiary have started operating. The production is owned by the "Bashkirskiy Med" agricultural cooperative and is located in the Kugarchinsky district.

According to Ruslan Gumerov, one of the owners of the company, there are plans to open two more border hedgerows. The owners want to link them with a tourist route. "We will offer to organize tours by carts and tell about extraction of unique honey" - he shared his plans.

This initiative was also supported by regional authorities. "The Bashkir Honey agricultural cooperative is a good example of how having a good idea, a well-thought-out business plan to grow into a strong company with good prospects for developing honey exports, as well as agritourism," said the Prime Minister of the Republic - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

In 2018, farmers Ruslan Gumerov and Nikolay Chudayev won in the republican competition of income-generating projects to create agricultural cooperatives. They received 3 million rubles, for the purchase of honey processing equipment. Before expanding their production, they had 600 beehives in their usual apiaries.
