A new modular furniture production facility was opened in Glazov, Udmurtia, with a total investment of 762 million rubles, according to the press service of the Udmurt regional government.

"(Head of Udmurtia - ed.) Alexander Brechalov opened a furniture production facility in Glazov. "New Furniture Factory" will engage in serial production of modular furniture made of laminated chipboard: kitchen frames and facades, wardrobe systems, cabinet groups," the statement reads.

It is specified, that the new furniture factory will become one more large enterprise on furniture manufacture in Glazov with total amount of investments of 762 million rubles. The project will provide 232 new jobs in the Republic.

"As part of the republic's agreement with the Monocities Fund, the factory received additional support from the Fund for the construction of engineering networks and roads, totaling 102.2 million rubles. Of that, 81.81 million rubles was provided by the Fund and 20.4 million rubles by the Republic and the city," said Alexander Brechalov.

The area of the new furniture factory is more than seven hectares. Previously, it was the site of the CHUS Department of Mechanization and Motor Transport (UMiAT), the regional government added.
