Lending to Russia's agro-industrial sector increased by 16.6% over the year to 341.8 billion roubles.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Rosselkhozbank issued 258.3 billion rubles to agrarians, while Sberbank issued 83.5 billion rubles.

It is noted that in 2020 the figures were much lower. Thus, the enterprises took 293.2 billion rubles for seasonal field work, including 207.2 billion from Rosselkhozbank and 86 billion from Sberbank.

In 2020, the government decided to increase state support to increase lending in the agricultural sector. This decision was taken against the background of expectations of a decline in consumer demand, which will have a negative impact on the economy of enterprises.
