The startup Promobot invented an educational complex for the Murmansk College of Economics and Information Technology.

"The Murmansk College of Economics and Information Technology will begin to study service robotics on Russian Promobot robots. The educational complex consists of the Promobot V.4 model robot and a special training methodology. The specificity of the methodology is that it is designed for a master's level of education, but specialists have adapted it for a college program - this is the first time in the history of educational robotics," the SME Corporation told Made in Russia.

Promobot V.4 is a service robot for work in crowded places. It can be a consultant, administrator, guide or airport employee. With Promobot, college students will learn both programming and electronics and mechatronics. The program is developed jointly by engineers and the Promobot research department.

Thanks to the development, students of Murmansk college will learn how to create and program robots that will help people perform various tasks: from processing requests at banks to delivering goods, the corporation explained. The robot will "teach" robotics to students of information technology, information security and direction "Information Systems and Programming". Students will get acquainted with the management of robots, face recognition, communication scenarios between people and robots, human-machine interaction on the example of the latest model of Promobot. There are six lab activities in the program.

"Promobot" received 200 million rubles with the support of the SME Corporation - as part of the deal with the company "Modernization Innovation Development". The robot manufacturer also received support from the SME Corporation as part of the startup projects support programme: the company was provided with a 100% guarantee against a SME Bank loan of 50 million roubles for production modernisation. Using these funds, the company more than tripled its production area.

Earlier, it was reported that Promobot in cooperation with the Spanish telecom holding OliveNet developed a robot for SIM card sales, which started operating in Barcelona.
