Residents of Khabarovsk Territory's ASEZs have been asked to develop measures to enter foreign markets

Mikhail Degtyarev, acting governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, proposed to work out options for the residents of the Advanced Special Economic Zone (ASEZ) to enter foreign markets.

"Initially, in 2015, the ASEZs were created to form sites in the Far East for the production of export products for APR (Asia-Pacific Region - ed.) countries. As of today, only 11 out of 74 enterprises supply exports. That is, it is 15% of residents. It makes sense to work with stakeholders on options to enter foreign markets - if the enterprises are ready. I think it is necessary to discuss additionally with the enterprises-residents the issue of promotion of their production in the countries of Asia-Pacific region", - his words in the press-service of the Center of export support of the Khabarovsk territory result.

The Acting Governor instructed line ministries to organize with enterprises the preparation of commercial proposals for promotion of goods in foreign markets, using the channels of trade missions of Russia abroad and overseas offices of the Russian Export Center.

Khabarovsk Territory currently has three ASEZs: Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk and Nikolaevsk, and two municipal districts have a Free Port (Vladivostok). 41.7 billion rubles have been invested in the projects, more than 4.5 thousand jobs have been created. The residents manufacture products for both domestic and foreign markets: lumber, veneer, fuel pellets, gold in ingots, fish processing products, construction materials, agricultural products, electrical equipment, and provide logistics services.

In 2020, the exports of TOR residents reached $537 million, which is almost a third of the region's exports. Products are supplied to China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Thailand.
