Vikamed Technologies, based in Gavrilov-Yama, Yaroslavl region, will produce more medical clothing and masks after the completion of the first phase of production reconstruction.

The amount of investments into the renewal of the medical items production amounted to 22 million rubles. The process took less than a year. As a result of the first stage of the production reconstruction Vicamed Technologies may increase the annual output of medical masks up to 38.7 million pieces, surgical gowns - from 1.1 to 2.5 million pieces, medical shoe covers and sterile kits - at least by 10%. The company has created over 70 jobs, and by 2024 the development program will increase this number to 174.

According to Andrey Kozlov, director of Vikamed Technologies, the facility was reconstructed using "clean room" technology, which will enable it to meet international standards.

"This will make it possible to supply products for export. Our plans include increasing the production area, launching our own production of nonwovens, fully robotizing certain production areas and performing a number of other tasks," he said.
