Avtovaz will launch the assembly of Lada and Renault car components in Uzbekistan within 12 months, TASS reported citing the head of the company Nicolas Mora.

According to Mora, the market share in Uzbekistan will remain small enough "due to the presence and work of UzAuto in the local market.

The head of the company said that Avtovaz plans to expand to Africa and the Middle East.

According to the company, export sales of Lada in 2020 decreased by 19% compared to 2019, to 41 thousand cars. Also in 2020, the company's sales in Russia decreased by 5%, to 343.5 thousand cars.
