Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" saved almost 700 million rubles thanks to benefits

Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" saved more than 692 million rubles last year thanks to benefits, and for all time of special economic zone existence - almost 3 billion rubles, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Yefimov.

"In 2020 the total amount of tax benefits, received by the residents of SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow", amounted to 692 million rubles, the largest part - 623 million rubles - came to the tax benefits to the budget of Moscow city. Since 2006, during the existence of Moscow SEZ, residents saved almost three billion rubles on tax payments," - quotes his words on the portal of the Moscow mayor's office mos.ru.

According to him, every ruble of granted tax incentives in capital special economic zone last year accounted for 13 rubles of investments. Residents - small and medium-sized businesses - also enjoyed benefits on insurance premiums, which were introduced because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"In terms of paying insurance premiums, residents saved more than 33 million roubles. Also at the peak of the pandemic last year for 100 companies operating in the SEZ territory, the rent for April, May and June was halved. Residents received about 19.5 million rubles in benefits for three months. Thus, taking into account all the tools, last year the companies saved about 745 million rubles", - the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorov noted.

Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" can save on property, land and transport taxes, the General Director of Technopolis Gennady Degtev reminded. According to him, it helps to implement innovative projects. "In addition, such companies have the opportunity to save 17 percent of profit tax in its regional part. Contributions to the budget of the country on it are not three, but two percent," he added.

Special Economic Zone "Technopolis "Moscow" consists of five sites with a total area of 223,3 hectares. One of them is located in Pechatniki, the others are in Zelenograd: "Micron", "MIET", "Angstrem" and "Alabushevo". The latter will house a new technopark of about 150 thousand square meters.
