Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" have increased exports almost 3 times this year

Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" supplied products worth 248 million rubles to other countries in the first quarter. This is 2.7 times more than during the same period last year, said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital.

"In the first quarter of this year, the volume of exports by residents of the capital's special economic zone was 248 million rubles, which is 2.7 times higher than the same period in 2020. At the same time, compared to January-March 2019, supplies increased 4.5 times," he said, adding that every eighth resident of the technopolis has become an exporter this year.

Manufacturers of microelectronics and fibre optic equipment accounted for the largest share (68%) of exports.

"More than a quarter of deliveries came from inspection equipment and lithium-ion batteries. The export portfolio of the special economic zone also includes products of producers of composite materials, cutting tools, disinfection and training equipment as well as pharmaceutical products", - specified Alexander Prokhorov, the head of the department of investment and industrial policy.

As of today the companies working in Technopolis supply their products to Switzerland, Germany, France, Lithuania, the Netherlands, China, the USA and Canada. In addition, Moscow enterprises are developing contacts with partners in the Middle East.
