Businesses and self-employed boosted sales on Wildberries app to ₽178 billion

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses and self-employed people in the first half of this year increased sales through mobile applications Wildberries grew by 121% year-on-year to 178 billion rubles, according to the press service of the marketplace.

The company attributed this growth to the increased popularity of "mobile shopping," as the number of orders through Wildberries mobile apps rose 164% to 273 million in the first half of this year.

"As calculated in the analytical service of the company, the highest dynamics of sales of their goods through mobile applications Wildberries in the first 6 months of 2021 showed Russian entrepreneurs from the following regions: Tyva (+946% year-on-year sales growth), Yakutia (+790%), Vologda (+500%), Bryansk (+488%) and Kaliningrad (+464%) regions," - says the company.

The highest sales of SMEs and self-employed people were recorded in Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Krai, Ivanovo and Rostov regions.

Most frequently ordered clothing (97% year-on-year sales in units), groceries (+154%), home goods (+137%), underwear (+93%) and toys (+110%).

According to the company's data as of July, about 200 thousand small and medium sized enterprises and self-employed people sell their products on the Marketplace.
