The Department of Veterinary Affairs under the Ministry of Agriculture of Vietnam has published on its website a list of companies from Russia, which meet all the conditions for the supply of fish and seafood to Vietnam, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

It is specified that these are six companies from Sakhalin Region and five from Primorsky Krai.

"These are the first Russian enterprises officially allowed to import fish and seafood to Vietnam. The Trade Representation has been working on this direction since 2019, and as a result, in February 2020, the parties agreed on a certificate for fishery products of Russian origin intended for export to Vietnam," the report said.

The document launched the registration process for Russian companies to supply fish to Vietnam.

The agency noted that Vietnam's permission for import of such products creates new prerequisites for further increase of Russian export volumes to the market of this Asian country and industrial development of the Far-Eastern regions.
