SME Corporation, together with the Italian company Danieli and its Russian subsidiary Danieli Volga, will help Russian small and medium-sized businesses to integrate into the supply chains of the international company.

According to the press service of SME Corporation, the parties have signed a "road map" for this purpose.

The head of the corporation, Alexander Isayevich recalled that during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has presented the development strategy up to 2025. It is aimed at the expansion of the market for small and medium-sized businesses, including through the entry of companies in foreign markets. In November, a system of maturity assessment of the enterprises of this segment will be put into operation

According to Antonello Colussi, General Director of Danieli Volga, the company now imports most of its components and equipment. "We are interested in attracting reliable and professional local suppliers of equipment, components and contractors. This directly affects the timeliness of deliveries and, as a consequence, the quality of our company's work," he added.

In 2011 Danieli Group decided to build a new manufacturing facility in Russia for the production and upgrading of all kinds of equipment for the ferrous and non-ferrous industry. A year later, the company established Danieli Volga, which is still working with partners in the CIS.
