Austria has opened for Russian tourists

Austria has reopened its borders for Russian tourists, the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) said.

It is specified that travelers will have to serve a 10-day quarantine upon arrival in the country. It will be considered complete if no earlier than the fifth day after entry a negative result of the covid-19 test is obtained. The day of arrival is considered to be day zero. Mandatory quarantine can be carried out in a hotel, with a relative or in a rented apartment.

According to the Austrian Embassy in Moscow, Russian travelers to enter the country will need one of the following documents: certificate of vaccination with foreign vaccines (so far Austria does not recognize Russian vaccines), certificate of coronavirus in German or English (since recovery should not exceed 180 days), certificate of negative test result for coronavirus or antigen test not older than 48 hours, or PCR-test not older than 72 hours before entry into the country. Accompanied children up to 12 years of age do not need the test. The normal entry rules apply for minors travelling alone.

An alternative to a covid-19 certificate can be proof of the presence of neutralizing antibodies, and the test must be carried out at least 90 days prior to entry into Austria. All certificates must bear the original blue laboratory or clinic seal, the doctor's signature and the QR-code.

Those arriving must register electronically in German or English within 72 hours prior to entry. In this it is necessary to state the exact address of the stay in the country, as the police can check how the quarantine is respected.
