Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved the procedure and conditions for granting federal subsidies to developers of hardware and software complexes (ASC) for the development of artificial intelligence technologies. This is reported on the website of the Russian government.

The subsidies will be available for developers of artificial intelligence technologies, which will be possible to use in high-tech sectors of the economy in the future.

"It is possible to get subsidies for projects that will be implemented within six years. The size of the subsidy will be up to 500 million rubles a year. Thus, in general, the developer can get up to 3 billion rubles for one project", - the report says.

Companies will be able to use the granted financing to reimburse up to 70% of expenses, in particular, for research and development of products, salaries, equipment and creation of high-tech jobs, production of prototypes of AIC and their pilot batches.

In order to receive a subsidy, an organization must undertake that the proceeds from the implementation of the developed programs will be at least two times the amount of the subsidy received. The companies are also expected to undergo a competitive selection process.
