Indonesia has approved the use of the vaccine Sputnik V

Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announced the registration of a Russian vaccine against Sputnik V coronavirus in Indonesia. Thus, Indonesia became the 70th state in which the drug was approved.

"Indonesia is one of the most populous countries in Asia, and the inclusion of Sputnik V in the national portfolio will allow one of the safest and most effective vaccines in the world to protect human health. "Satellite V is based on a proven human adenovirus vector platform and has been successfully used in more than 50 countries. The approval of the vaccine in Indonesia is based on a thorough evaluation of the data and will enable the country to fight the pandemic more successfully," said Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of RDIF.

Today, the total population of all countries that have approved Sputnik V is 4 billion, or more than 50% of the world's population. Vaccination data from a number of countries (Argentina, San Marino, Serbia, Hungary, Bahrain, Mexico, UAE and others) show that Sputnik V is one of the safest and most effective vaccines against coronavirus. Sputnik V ranks second in the world by the number of approvals granted by state regulators.
