The WorldSkills Russia team took first place in the medal standings at the open championship Online Friendly Skills Game for Asian countries, the agency for the development of professional skills said.

In total the national team won six gold medals, four silver, five bronze and one medal for professionalism, while Russian juniors won five gold and two silver medals.

More than 20 countries took part in the championship. The competitions were held in 13 competencies of the main age group and seven junior competencies.

This year the Online Friendly Skills Game championship was held in the distance and in absentia format.

WorldSkills Russia has been working systematically with Asia-Pacific countries to develop competences and introduce WorldSkills tools into national training systems for a long time. For example, last year Russian experts developed new, remote and online formats for championship and training events, which became the basis for Skills Camp trainings and competitions for their Asian counterparts.
