Authorities of Krasnodar region in 2021 allocated 55 million rubles of grant support for the development of young agricultural cooperatives. This was announced by Deputy Governor Andrey Korobka.

According to him, regional grants have been provided since 2017 to start-up agricultural cooperatives that have been operating for no more than 12 months from the date of registration. Since the beginning of the programme, 20 cooperatives have become grant recipients, the total amount of funds issued exceeds 560 million roubles. In 2021 55 million rubles will be allocated for this purpose.

He explained that regional officials pay special attention to the development of agricultural cooperation in Kuban. "It is this form of cooperation that helps farmers to be competitive and sustainable in today's business environment. Profile programs, including the one developed and operating on behalf of the head of the region, are working to support cooperatives," Korobka said.

As of today, there are 168 agricultural cooperatives in Krasnodar Region. They have over 2.2 thousand members.
