Authorities near Moscow want to turn non-agricultural areas into farming clusters

Small farming clusters may appear in Moscow Region. Sergei Voskresensky, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region, spoke about this.

"In the Moscow region, there is a large number of so-called non-lots, which it is not economically feasible for large agricultural producers to cultivate. We have an idea to transfer these unimproved areas for farming clusters," - TASS quoted him as saying.

Let us remind, that since 2021 there have been a number of new benefits and incentives for farmers, in particular, the opportunity to receive a grant for tax arrears (up to 10 thousand rubles), the share of the grant for the development of family farms in the total cost of the project was increased from 60% to 70%. For farmers implementing Agrostartap projects, the job creation requirement was reduced.

The "Agroprogress" grant, which is available to entrepreneurs for up to 30 million rubles, was also launched in 2021. The grant can cover up to 25% of the cost of the investment project, which is being implemented on credit.
