Products and goods from Moscow will appear in Shanghai stores

The products of 20 Moscow manufacturers will appear in retail chains of Shanghai as a part of a pilot project, the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the capital said.

"From January to May 2021, Moscow's food exports to China grew by 17% compared to the same period last year and amounted to more than $10.5 million. In a new project to promote Moscow's products on foreign markets, the expert commission has selected the first 20 food producers. Now entrepreneurs will be able to enter into foreign trade contracts for the supply of goods that will appear on the shelves of popular shops in Shanghai", - said the head of the Department Alexei Fursin.

Entrepreneurs will be able to present two product items in at least 200 outlets of such chains as OLE, 7-Eleven, G-super, JiuGuang, Century Mart, Fresh Hema, BFC and others. Expenses on goods placement in the trade network, promotion and distribution, legal services, customs clearance, as well as foreign trade contract transactions and logistics will be covered by the Moscow Export Center (MEDC).

Among the products, which can be appreciated by people from China, are Pikki bars and crunches, Torero waffles, healthy breakfasts Matti, natural nut paste Natty's, healthy snacks Yammy Foods and other sweets. Moreover, Fantola lemonades, Lebo coffee, Sugrev herbal tea and SusChocolate cocoa will also be available.

Manufacturers of food and cosmetic brands can still place their products in Chengdu stores - at the Russian Commodities Pavillion site, which is located in the largest shopping complex Chengdu International Trade City. Applications must be submitted by September 10, 2021.
