Box office receipts of Russian films have amounted to 9 billion rubles since the beginning of 2021, said Fedor Sosnov, Acting Executive Director of the Cinema Fund.

According to him, the number of viewers of Russian films in cinemas across the country has doubled and the fees have increased by 2.5 times. Thus, the number of viewers who watched Russian films exceeded 33 million.

"This industry lives, in the presence of targeted funding, three production cycles, and with a clean market - only two production cycles. And despite this, over this fairly short period of time in the production and time segments the number of viewers of Russian cinema in cinemas in the country has doubled, the fees have increased by 2.5 times, the number of cinemas and the market itself has increased by about 1.5 times, "- quoted Sosnov RIA Novosti.
