The non-destructive testing laboratory of medical equipment manufacturer WestMedGroup has successfully passed certification by an independent body for compliance with requirements. The Made in Russia project was told about it by the company's press service.

"The expert commission checked the degree of organizational and technical readiness that allows to fully ensure the quality of performed works on nondestructive testing, in particular, technical equipment of the laboratory, conditions of industrial and environmental safety, management system, and the level of training of specialists," the statement says.

Being certified will enable the company to conduct radiation, ultrasonic, acoustic-emission, visual and measurement control. In addition, the laboratory can conduct control of penetrating substances, including the construction, reconstruction, manufacturing, technical inspection and technical diagnostics, inspection and examination of steam, hot-water, steam-boiler and power boilers.

The existence of its own laboratory, as the company noted, makes it possible to check tanks, barrels and vessels for compressed, liquefied gases, liquids and bulk solids, even with occasional overpressure. It also enables checking of electric boilers, steam and hot water pipelines, pressure vessels of steam, liquids and gases.

The laboratory is equipped with radiographic and ultrasonic, visual and measuring control sets, eight-channel acoustic-emission measuring complex and other devices for comprehensive assessment in stationary and field conditions.
