In the Khabarovsk Territory, the construction of a plant of RFP Group that will produce fuel pellets (pellets) has been completed. The funds for the new production facility were provided by the Industry Development Fund and the Mirainovate Investment Fund of Japan.

The investment in the construction of the plant exceeded 2.5 billion roubles. At the same time, 500 million roubles in the form of the soft loan under the Development Projects program have been provided by the Industry Development Fund.

The plant is the third and final stage in the creation of a Far Eastern centre for deep wood processing in the Khabarovsk Territory. In 2013, RFP Group launched a 300 thousand cubic meters per year plant for the production of sawn softwood veneer, in 2017 - a 250 thousand cubic meters per year plant for the production of softwood lumber.

After the commissioning of the new plant, the company will be able to switch to integrated and waste-free wood processing. The planned pellet output is 100 thousand tons a year.

The plant will create 76 high-performance jobs.

The fuel pellets are an environmentally friendly fuel with a low ash content. They can be used both in domestic heating systems and in industrial boilers. The low level of CO2 emissions during combustion reduces the impact on the environment compared to other fuels such as charcoal, therefore the project will contribute to addressing the objectives of the Ecology national project.
