A tourism master plan, which will include a territory development strategy for attracting tourists and investment, will be created for the Far East by the end of 2022, said Zarina Doguzova, head of Rostourism.

"For the Far East, such a tourist territorial project, or master plan, will be created by the end of next year. We have already started working on it this year. There are literally a few formal moments left, and from one day to the next the rules for granting subsidies will be approved - they are in the government in a high degree of readiness," Doguzova said within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum - 2021.

Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism explained that such tourist project is a document that will allow to analyse and evaluate the tourist potential of the area in order to use it rationally, to form new investment lots, to properly formulate the development of tourism, to determine the maximum hotel stock and priority types of tourism, and to emphasize its uniqueness and originality.

Such master plans will be created for 12 most popular areas from the point of view of tourism. According to her, the documents will allow large, medium and small businesses to invest profitably in tourism.

"This is how we will be able to build a hospitality industry in the country. All instruments, to a greater or lesser extent, work to make the industry more investment-attractive. The master plan gives the investor an understanding of the strategic development of the area, an understanding of the investment lots. To plan their investments in the long term", - added the head of the department.
