Gold miners in Kamchatka Territory are obliged to create tourist facilities after their work activities. In case of damage to the region's tourism potential, they voluntarily give up mining, the region's governor Vladimir Solodov said during the Eastern Economic Forum.

He stressed that after the development of gold placers, miners have no right to leave "a flat area without vegetation", on the contrary, they are obliged to construct a tourist facility.

To date, he said, there are precedents, when the development of gold deposits was terminated voluntarily with the conclusion of the relevant agreement, when it was in discord with the development of tourism potential.

The Eastern Economic Forum began in Vladivostok on September 2 on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University.
