More than RUB 9 billion will go to farmers in the Far East

The Federal Centre has allocated more than 9 billion roubles to support agricultural producers in the Far East. This was announced by Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.

"As far as state support is concerned, this year we have allocated 9 billion rubles, which is 1.5 billion rubles more than a year ago. Systemic support for the industry allows you to build up production indicators," he said during the Eastern Economic Forum.

Such measures will make it possible to achieve stable growth of the agricultural production index, the minister noted.

According to him, in 2019 this indicator was 92.4%, in 2020 - 102.4%.

The Far Eastern Federal District already has preferences for the transportation of agricultural products - year-round preferential tariffs for the transportation of fertilizers to the Far East. Tariffs for exporting soybeans, fish and fish products are also fully subsidized. Starting next year, capital expenses for building greenhouses will be reimbursed.

The Eastern Economic Forum takes place in Vladivostok from the second to the fourth of September. The main theme of this year's event is "New Opportunities for the Far East in a Changing World". The forum is organised by Roscongress.
