Supervisory authorities conducted almost as many company audits in half a year in 2021 as they did last year, said Boris Titov, presidential commissioner for entrepreneurs' rights.

According to his data, the number of inspections became less in 2020 and by the end of the year it was 534 thousand. However, this year in six months, the number has already reached 493 thousand, the ombudsman added.

"The alarming call is that across Russia in 2020 there was a serious decrease in the number of inspections, to 534 thousand. And this year for the first half of the year there are already 493 thousand. Almost caught up with the number of inspections for the whole of last year," Titov said during a speech at a session of the Eastern Economic Forum.

The Eastern Economic Forum takes place in Vladivostok from the second to the fourth of September. The main theme of this year's event is "New Opportunities for the Far East in a Changing World". The forum is organised by the Roscongress Foundation.
