Moscow has increased exports of finished meat products by almost 21% over the six months. According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Efimov, its volume in money equivalent amounted to 27.86 million dollars.

"Previously, foreign partners imported mainly meat and by-products of the capital's production, in the first half of the year supplies worth 29.6 million dollars were made. Now there is an increase in demand for finished meat products, in the reporting period exported goods for 27.86 million dollars. Total exports of all Moscow meat products amounted to 57.46 million dollars", - said Efimov.

The geography of exports of finished meat products reached 18 countries. The main importers were the neighboring countries - Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan. Also the capital purchases were made by Vietnam, Moldova, Panama and Hong Kong.

Head of the Moscow Department for Investment and Industrial Policy Aleksandr Prokhorov also reported that the export of meat and by-products showed a positive trend. Thus, the supply of frozen beef increased from $3.31 million in the first half of 2019 to $11.05 million in the same period of 2021.
