In Arkhangelsk the volume of investments into repair of fishery fleet will amount to about 2 billion rubles. It was reported by Evgeny Avtushenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Arkhangelsk region.

"It was decided to refine the initial program for establishment of the ship repair center. The reason is the need to supplement it with new important activities, including the construction of a railway branch line to the port, and the acquisition of a floating dock," he said.

It is a reminder that at the end of 2020 a service center for fishing fleet vessels started to be created in Arkhangelsk.

The project is supported by the Federal Agency for Fishery of the Russian Federation. It involves the use of public-private partnership instruments on the basis of the Maimaksa cargo port "Archangelsk Trawl Fleet" and involves the creation of a modern maintenance base. Its capacity is to be used not only for mechanical repair, but also for repair of ships' electronic equipment with partial manufacturing of spare parts. It is also planned to rebuild destroyed mooring facilities and, as it was before, connect the port to the railroad.
