A tree nursery with a capacity of up to 3 million seedlings per year will appear in the Olsky urban district of the Magadan region. This was reported by the press service of the regional administration.

"We in the Magadan region are trying to restore forests as much as possible, but it will take dozens of years for our seedlings to grow into real mature trees. Natural fires in spring and summer are not uncommon in the region, and fire burns large areas of precious forest. That is why in order to be able to restore forests faster, it is necessary to establish such a production," TASS reports.

It is assumed that the establishment of the production of seedlings of coniferous trees will contribute to the objectives of the national project "Ecology", which includes 11 areas. One of them is forest restoration The national project was launched in 2019 and extended until 2030.
