Moscow region has become the leader in Russia in export of soft drinks, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region reported.

"The Moscow Region has taken the first place in the Russian ranking of the largest exporters of non-alcoholic beverages according to the results of the seven months of this year. We have increased export of this product by 53.9% to 70.9 million dollars. Moscow region exported $46 million for the same period last year, "- said Sergey Voskresensky, head of the ministry.

According to the minister, export of beverages has increased in volume terms. Thus, manufacturers of Moscow region exported about 110 thousand tons of soft drinks, that is 37% more compared to the same period of last year, when there were 80.34 thousand tons.

At the same time, the CIS countries, such as Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as the USA, Germany and China imported the largest volumes of beverages.

"The Moscow region's share of soft drinks exports in the total Russian exports was 33.9%. The main exporters of these products are enterprises Megapack, MNC Chernogolovka," added the head of the department.
