Novgorod manufacturers increased exports to Finland by nearly 1.5 times - by 42% in the first seven months of this year, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

"In January-July 2021, Novgorod companies exported to Finnish partners products worth $62.9 million, which is 41.8% more than in the same period last year," the report reads.

According to the ministry, non-resource non-energy exports of the region is growing especially fast, the share of which exceeds 90% of supplies. For example, during the first seven months of the current year Novgorod companies shipped goods of that kind to Finland for 57 million dollars (+ 45.6% compared to the figure for 2020), according to the Federal Customs Service. The main export items include nitrogen and mixed fertilizers, plywood, process chips, veneer and refractory ceramics.

At present the Novgorod Oblast is also interested in the development of exports of trucks, building materials and products.

The Russian Trade representative to Finland, Anton Loginov, said the diplomatic mission is open for entrepreneurs and is ready to support business in entering the market of this country.
