Alkor Bio Group(a participant of the Made in Russia project) received registration certificate from Roszdravnadzor for its new reagent kit Intifica SARS-CoV-2-monoMag for determination of coronavirus RNA.

The Made in Russia editorial board was told that it is a new testing system comprising reagents for separation of nucleic acids on magnetic particles. The set of reagents makes it possible to isolate 96 samples in half an hour.

"This speed is achieved through the implementation of an efficient single wash, and allows the laboratory to increase productivity several times over. For laboratories not equipped with automatic stations, manual isolation of nucleic acid is provided, but even in this case, the use of our kit significantly accelerates the process of isolation and minimizes possible operator errors", - said the company.

During the development the laboratory staff took into account all the changes which had taken place in the virus over a year to enable the test to detect all the currently relevant strains. One of the most stable regions of the coronavirus genome has been selected as a target for the kit, the company added.
