Agricultural commodity turnover between Russia and France has grown by almost 30% up to 708 million dollars since the beginning of 2021, reported the Ministry of Agriculture after a working meeting of Deputy Chairman Sergei Levin with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of France Julien Denormandy.

The ministry noted that Russia is interested in expanding the supply of food products to the French market.

"Taking into account France's presidency in the European Union in the first half of next year, Sergey Levin expressed hope for the French side's support in the issue of recognition of the regionalization principle when exporting Russian poultry products to the EU market," the statement said.

Besides, the sides discussed cooperation in winegrowing and winemaking. The deputy minister underlined that Russia is open for further dialogue and ready to hold expert consultations at the request of the French side to discuss cooperation in this sector, including clarification of changes in Russian legislation.
