"Almaz-Antey is developing Russia's first civilian electric gas vehicle

Russian concern Almaz-Antey is developing a civilian hybrid vehicle with the working title E-NEVA, which will use hydrogen and electricity as fuel, RBC writes.

It is planned that the fuel system of the new vehicle will consist of two parts. The first one is a gas vehicle with an electric transmission, which will be able to travel more than one thousand kilometers on one filling. The second one is an electric gas vehicle with 52-liter gas fuel system and a 70-kilowatt battery, which will provide a range of 810 kilometers and the possibility to recharge from the electric grid.

It is planned that the electric gas car will be able to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour.

Alexander Vedrov, deputy general director of Almaz-Antey for production and technological policy, said that the energy generated while driving the hybrid vehicle will be accumulated, and the electric traction will become an auxiliary source of energy, with enough stock for a certain number of kilometers. According to him, the hybrid will be able to drive more than 500 km without recharging.

Investments in the project and the production date of the commercial version of the gas vehicle, its cost and other details have not been disclosed yet.
