Russian incubators for intensive care of newborns will be supplied to Malaysia

Neonatal intensive care incubators produced by the E.S. Yalamov Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ) of Shvabe Holding (part of Rostec State Corporation) will begin to be exported to Malaysia.

"Malaysia is a reliable buyer of Russian civilian products. We are already supplying a line of neonatal equipment to clinics in Kuala Lumpur - phototherapeutic irradiators and heaters, neonatal tables. Shvabe's new equipment will provide the whole range of procedures for nursing newborns, including those with extremely low birth weight. In parallel with the start of intensive care incubators supply, we plan to register a number of other models from the line of modern neonatal medical equipment in the region," said Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director at Rostec.

The device creates an optimal microclimate for nursing prematurely born babies. The main objectives of the device are even heat distribution, air humidification and oxygen supply during nursing of newborns.

As Rostec specified, in 2020 neonatal equipment was supplied to Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Slovenia.
