The Arctic companies and individual entrepreneurs will receive almost one billion rubles in subsidies from the federal budget over three years, from 2022 to 2024, to compensate the costs of paying insurance premiums, TASS writes with reference to the explanatory note to the draft federal budget.

So, next year more than 184 million rubles will be allocated, while in 2023 - 323.5 million rubles, and almost 476 million rubles in 2024.

Today, in the Arctic, there are preferences for companies that produce oil on the shelf or the continental part, for the extraction of solid minerals and for other investment projects. Currently, any registered businessman in the Arctic can become a resident of the Arctic zone if he is ready to launch an investment project worth at least RUB 1 million.
