Rosselkhoznadzor and the Main Customs Administration (MCA) of China have agreed on the terms of export of chilled and frozen beef and beef by-products from the RF to the PRC and signed a protocol on veterinary and sanitary requirements to deliveries. This is reported on the website of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

This protocol established rules for packaging, labeling, certification of beef exported to China, and requirements for production processes at facilities from where the products are supplied.

"Given the growing production and export capacity of enterprises and the interest of Chinese consumers, we can talk about great prospects for bilateral cooperation in this area, especially now that Brazil has suspended beef supplies to China due to the identified cases of spongiform encephalopathy," said Russian trade representative to the PRC Alexei Dakhnovsky.
