Yandex's cloud development division has begun building a team and representation of Yandex.Cloud in Germany. The company may invest a total of $30 million in launching the project in this European country by the end of next year.

As part of the first phase, funding may be used to purchase equipment and rent data centers. It is assumed that the division in Germany will be located at three sites according to the world security standards.

Another Yandex.Cloud initiative is cloud service G-Cloud that will meet safety and security requirements for placing state information systems here. Its launch is planned for the end of next year. The infrastructure of Yandex's cloud division will be used as the base, however, isolated segments will be created to host government systems and encryption schemes and user authentication systems will be introduced.
