About 500 million roubles will be allocated in Russia this year for construction of campsites. This was announced by Yury Gordeev, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Russia.

"The projects of camping and car camping development shall be included into the regional programs on tourism development. It is planned to allocate 500 million rubles from the federal budget for these purposes in 2021," TASS quoted him as saying.

Gordeev noted that in the country, in a pilot mode, the mechanism of grant support of small enterprises in tourism development has already started. Now the mechanism is being tested and implemented in Rosturizm.

Project for development of tourism infrastructure is implemented in the framework of the national project on tourism. It is expected to increase the number of trips to Russia from 65 million to 140 million a year by 2030 and ensure economic growth in the country by multiplying the tourism industry.
