The volume of industrial production in the Russian capital has increased by 24.3% since the beginning of this year, said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow. He attributed the growth in indicators to the stable development of the chemical and food industries and high growth rates in the production of paper, textiles and electrical equipment.

"Over the eight months of this year, industrial production in Moscow increased by 24.3% compared to the same period of 2020, while the country as a whole increased by 4.5%. This dynamics is mainly due to the growth of the capital's manufacturing industry - the industry increased by 25.1%," he said.

Metropolitan enterprises, according to his data, show growth from the beginning of the year in the manufacture of food products, household chemicals, clothing and pharmaceuticals, telecommunications products.
