Yandex.Filling Station service entered the foreign market for the first time
The Russian service Yandex.Zaprazvodka began operating in Turkey. This is the service's first entry into a foreign market, the domestic company said.
Anatoly Kamynin, head of Yandex.Zapravok international division, clarified that Turkish consumers were quite familiar with Yandex, so the company decided to launch it abroad. However, Yandex plans to explore other countries as well.
The service has connected one of the largest fuel chains in Turkey, OPET. It occupies 15% of the niche in Turkey and has around 1,700 filling stations. It will now be possible to pay for the purchase of fuel through Yandex. For this purpose the Russian service has been built into the Turkish version of Navigator.
