Nordwind launched direct flights from Kaluga to Egypt

Russian airline Nordwind Airlines launched direct flights from Kaluga International Airport to Egypt.

"For the first time in the history of Kaluga airport a direct flight to Egypt (Sharm el-Sheikh airport) was serviced. The Airbus A321neo of Nordwind took off from Kaluga at 16:15 with 205 passengers on board," the press service of the airport reported.

At the moment, the airline is expected to depart every 11 days, with flights scheduled until mid-April 2022. But the schedule may be changed as the company hopes to increase the number of flights.

As a reminder, Kaluga airport named after Konstantin Tsiolkovsky was commissioned in 2015 after a 13-year break. Its capacity is 350 passengers per hour. The route network has 16 destinations, including six international ones - Antalya, Sharm el-Sheikh, Yerevan, Osh, Khujand, Kulyab.
