Metropolitan company "Storage Energy" (resident of Technopolis "Moscow") is exporting a batch of batteries to Colombia, said Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow.

"The company has already prepared lithium-ion batteries for shipment to Colombia. This is the first experience of exporting to this South American country the products of a resident specializing in energy-efficient solutions," he said and added that, in general, about 30% of the company's revenue is provided by foreign sales. For example, in the first six months of this year, export volumes exceeded 40 million rubles.

The batteries of the Moscow company are used in devices with electric motor type, such as forklifts, electric carts, cleaning and other industrial equipment. The service life of such batteries is two to three times longer than lead-acid batteries.

"Storage Energy" became a resident of Technopolis in October last year. Since then, the company has shipped its products worth almost 380 million rubles to about 15 countries. Today the company has almost one third (30%) of the lithium-ion battery market in Russia and 2% of the world market for this type of battery.
