In 2022 St. Petersburg Tractor Plant (PTZ) plans to start serial production of tractors equipped with autopilots and subsequently fully unmanned versions. The press service of autopilot manufacturer Cognitive Pilot (a subsidiary of Sber and Cognitive Technologies) said.

"PTZ and Cognitive Pilot, a leading developer of artificial intelligence systems for robotic agricultural machinery, have signed a strategic agreement to promote on Russian and foreign markets an updated model of Kirovets K-7M tractor equipped with Cognitive Agro Pilot autopilot systems based on artificial intelligence (AI)," TASS quoted the data.

The Company noted that such equipment is the first case in Russia of serial, factory installation of AI-based autopilot on tractor machinery.

It is expected that based on information from sensors of the smart tractor a complex analysis of soil and crops will be performed that will increase the quality and efficiency of agricultural works.
