Russian IT company Yandex has launched fast grocery delivery in its second European city, London, Vedomosti reported citing the company's press service.

London has become the second European city after Paris, where the delivery from "Yandex" appeared. Here, the service operates under the international brand Yango Deli. It is now available to almost 1.5 million residents in the areas of Bethnal Green, Battersea, Bermondsey and Acton.

The company notes that major European cities have "higher penetration of e-commerce and food delivery, high population density and demand".

The first foreign country where Yandex.Shop started its operations was Israel. Today more than 400 dartstores of the service operate in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, as well as in Israel, Paris and London.
