Russia resumes air links with nine more countries

Scheduled air service is being restored on a reciprocal basis between Russia and nine countries from November 9, the country's government said.

Planes will once again start flying to the Bahamas, the Netherlands, Norway, Iran, Oman, Slovenia, Tunisia, Sweden and Thailand. The cabinet stressed that Thailand is open only to tourists vaccinated against covid-19.

Also air links are resumed with Austria, Switzerland, Finland and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition, the Russian authorities have decided to increase the frequency of flights to a number of countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, North Macedonia, Venezuela, Malta and the Maldives.

In addition, restrictions on scheduled as well as charter flights from Russian airports to the resort cities of Egypt, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh have been lifted.
