Iran has become the leader in the volume of Russian grain imports. This was reported by ProZerno portal.

"Iran breaks into the first place not only among the importers of Russian wheat and corn, but also in the overall standings for all grain," the report said.

It is noted that in July-September 2021, grain exports from Russia to Iran amounted to 3 million 697 thousand tons. Wheat accounts for most of the supplies - 3 million 91 thousand tons. More than 392 thousand tons of barley and more than 215 thousand tons of corn were shipped.

In second place in terms of purchasing - Turkey, the country has bought 3 million 523 tons of grain, including nearly 2.9 million tons of wheat, 569 thousand tons of barley and 73 thousand tons of corn. Egypt came third (more than 1.6 million tons of wheat).
