An IT platform for business skills training for young people with disabilities will be launched in Russia in 2022

The educational online resource "Accelerator of projects of young people with disabilities" on entrepreneurship and project management adapted for young people with special needs will be launched in Russia in March 2022, the press service of the Roscongress Foundation said. The program is organized by the foundation together with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).

"Now a team of experts consisting of experienced practicing entrepreneurs and university professors has begun recording training courses. The target audience of the service is young people aged 14-24 with disabilities and with disabilities of various nosological groups: visually impaired, hard of hearing, deaf, with musculoskeletal disorders and with complexes of the listed disorders," Roscongress said in its report.

Diana Tsygankova, student of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the initiator and leader of the project, explained that the project will start in the Moscow Region, and may be scaled up to other regions in the future.

It is noted that mentors will work with each participant during the training. Now they are already processing applications and wishes of potential students.

"Young people with disabilities want to do entrepreneurship. Some of them already have a rough idea of the potential forms of activity that they can undertake within this field. However, they do not know where to start, who the self-employed are and how to be honestly engaged in entrepreneurship in this status. This is what we will try to teach", said Tsygankova, whose words are quoted on the Roscongress website.
