43

Russia and Tajikistan are to reach an understanding on the refusal to deal in dollars this year, the First Deputy Director of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lisovskiy in an interview with RIA News. Lisovskiy made this statement based on the results of the forum of business circles of both countries.

"We want to refuse to deal in dollars and move on to dealing in our national currency," confirmed the Senator. He is convinced that this type of mechanism can be installed this year.

Meeting participants also discussed questions on the export of agricultural and other products on the territories of Russia and Tajikistan. The question of logistics was of particular importance.

"We agreed to create logistics centers in Russia and Tajikistan, also discussing questions of creating so-called "green corridors" for the irrevocable and immediate delivery of products from Tajikistan and Russia and the opposite, through borderline countries," related Lisovskiy.

He noted that the necessity of optimizing customs procedures is due to the fact that Tajikistan supplies Russia with high-quality products, that are grown practically without chemicals, with minimal storage time. The necessity is clear, that the organization of logistic centers, where such products can pass through the refrigeration process, then be delivered to Russia in a simplified fashion. The "green corridor" is to be created for tried and true suppliers. Logistics centers in Russia can receive products form Tajikistan and deliver them in good time.

Lisovskiy added that Russia is traditionally the supplier of products such as machinery, lumber, cleaning and meat products in Tajikistan.
